NEWS:
10.07.09 Recent upgrades to both my work and home recording studios have given me the opportunity work with new software and hardware. It is amazing what a difference new equipment can make to your sound. Hopefully some day I'll have enough time to create new demos to showcase my expanded capabilities.
01.01.09 Happy new year! This year finds me still working full-time, in-house for IGT... However the Barcrest USA division has closed, and I now work for IGT's "3rd Party" division. My experience and skills in game sound design continue to grow, as I find myself working on a variety titles.
09.15.08 I am happy to announce that I have accepted a new full-time, in-house position at IGT. I am now the sole Sound Designer for the Barcrest USA division of IGT , at the Las Vegas campus. IGT (International Game Technology) is the largest developer of slot machine games in the world. I am creating original audio content for all Barcrest USA games; including sound effects, music, and voice-over production. The move to a position with the gaming industry's top company represents a definite step forward in my audio career. However, I still maintain great respect and gratitude towards my former employer, Global Gaming Group, for helping me develop the skills and knowledge needed to take this next step in my career. I will also greatly miss my G3 co-workers, who had become my Las Vegas family.
In other news, I've been working on some outside projects in my free time that might come to light early in the new year.
02.29.08 Now that my new website is live, I can report that I am successfully continuing my full-time, in-house position as Sound Designer for Global Gaming Group in Las Vegas, NV. To date I have created complete audio content (sound effects, voice-overs, & music) for over a dozen video games for digital slot machines (gambling). On January 2nd, 2008 I reached my one-year anniversary with the company, and I continue to learn and grow as a Sound Designer through the position.
I am also continuing to work on a few (PC) video game projects in my "off" hours.
02.29.08 Today my new website (toddkinsley.com) went live!
